The House

“Clothes Maketh Man”

THREE GENERATIONS. TWO CONTINENTS. ONE INHERITANCE PASSED DOWN IN CLOTH.

my grandmother, Princess Winifred Dademu Ademola

It begins with my grandmother Winifred Dadamo, a woman of genuine African royalty, whose bearing still set the standard this house still holds itself to.

For whom two houses are named.

Keji Atoyegbe

It was kept alive by my mother. For over thirty years, Keji Atoyegbe has been a custodian of African luxury textiles at Glory Store, 78 Nnamdi Azikwe, Lagos Swiss voile to French lace, the finest cloth in the world, and around her, master tailors whose every stitch carried generations of craft. Her inheritance to me was never just fabric. It was the tailors. The eye. The standard.

And it became ATOZI through me. I am not a tailor I never claimed the needle. My craft is the one my mother taught without meaning to: knowing the best when you see it, and refusing everything else. Born in New York and raised in Nigeria's textile heritage as much as the city's, trained in economics, formed as an artist, I built ATOZI to do one thing: bring the world's finest hands and rarest materials to a small number of clients, head to toe, to one standard.

Some inheritances are written. Mine was stitched.

Odyssey

The house is built from four traditions studied at the source: the precision of Japanese artisanship, the structure of British tailoring, the elegance of Italian craftsmanship, and the soul of the African heritage I was born into. From London to Istanbul, Italy to Peru the cities are where we source and study. The making belongs to Lagos.

INSPIRED BY KEJI ATOYEGBE

One family. Two houses.

ATOZI shares its bloodline with WINNIE New York the label founded within our family by my cousin Idris Balogun, and named, like all of this, for our grandmother, Winifred. In 2022, WINNIE won the Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the LVMH Prize, showed at Paris Fashion Week, and earned Vogue, GQ, and stockists from SSENSE to Mytheresa.

Two houses, one inheritance: hers. WINNIE carries it to the runway. ATOZI carries it to you by private commission.

Today, ATOZI is a private luxury house. Designed in New York. Made in Lagos and by our partner ateliers Savile Row to Istanbul to Portugal. Built only from the world's finest natural fibers: vicuña, alpaca, cashmere, merino, pure silk.

We work by appointment, and by referral, for clients who care how a thing is made and where it comes from.

We were made by the best, for the best.

When you commission an ATOZI piece, you inherit all of it the grandmother, the master tailors, the thirty years of cloth, the standard none of us will lower.

We'd be honored to make your chapter of the story.
